BONNIE JEAN
Bonnie Jean sends messages of good times, of happy memories with the family growing up together on magical Lake Eildon.
Walking on board, Bonnie Jean has a good sized front deck, big enough to enjoy a BBQ on. Then she opens up into a spacious front lounge with plenty of room to relax on the couches to play board games together or just watch the TV. Many a great meal would have been enjoyed sitting up to the dining table with the views of the Lake in the background. The kitchen together with the entertainment area are bright and fresh with plenty of storage.
Bonnie Jean will be great for a young family with 2 bunk bedrooms for the kids and the master bedroom to the rear with views over the water. These are serviced by a good sized bathroom which includes the shower with hip bath. The toilet is separate and internal; many people see this as a plus.
The rear deck provides a great relaxation space with the duckboard built into the rear deck. Then with the motor box providing a great table to sit back and watch the trout jump out of the water.
Upstairs is a large space to enjoy the sun or a BBQ. The shade cloth on the canopy most probably needs some attention; but this is not a big deal.
Bonnie Jean has a number of very important pluses for a houseboat of this vintage.
Firstly, the pontoons are square/rectangular; they are not the original round pontoons.
Secondly, the Mercury Outboard is a 90hp 4 stroke Motor. This was new in 2016 (8yrs). This is larger than what you see on many similar houseboats and will provide plenty of power to move the houseboat.
Thirdly, there is an ESV Gas Compliance Plate which indicates the gas appliances on the houseboat meet Gas Safety Regulations.
Fourthly, there is a 3,000watt PSW Inverter with a Battery Charger feeding the house batteries. These are backed up by a Hushmate 7.5kva Generator.
Finally, Bonnie Jean was slipped in 2024 with the pontoons serviced and a new GMW CHIR issued. At this time a new stainless steel fuel tank with guarding was installed, plus a new guard to the sewerage system.
With all these important pluses, Bonnie Jean will make a great family holiday home for a family beginning the journey on magical Lake Eildon. Ask to inspect Bonnie Jean this weekend and you never know your family could be on the water and making those special memories before you know it.
