This 1985 Mander Marine built Van de Stadt 40, originally a well performed IOR One Tonner, has been superbly converted into a very comfortable cruiser-racer. She has plenty of accommodation and many great features to make her a comfortable cruising yacht while still retaining excellent performance ishould you choose to join in a Club race or twilight. She has been well equipped with thoughtfully updated equipment and a recent suite of B & G electronics including AIS and Autopilot. A Muir electric windlass takes the work out of anchoring and there is a comprehensive safety equipment inventory including a 6 person life raft. The yacht is well powered by a very reliable and economical Volvo Penta 28HP diesel engine installed new in 2001.
The well appointed galley includes a Smev 3-burner gas stove and oven, Isotherm refrigeration and plenty of storage. There are two large double berth quarter cabins plus settee berths and upper pilot berths with a central fold-out saloon table incorporated on the fully removable engine housing.
Whether you like to cruise, race or maybe even live aboard, here is an opportunity to secure a well appointed, good looking yacht for a modest outlay.
