Swarbrick S111

SOLD - This 36ft Swarbrick built S111 has quite a history, being one of five S111s commissioned by the Royal Australian Navy for use as offshore sail training yachts. Launched in 1984 she was built to strict survey standards and remains in Marine Board Cat 2C survey for 8 overnight so she could be used in a Commercial operation such as yacht charter or a sailing school. Privately owned in recent years, she has continued to be maintained to the same high standard set by the Navy and required by the Commercial Survey. She has just been slipped, antifouled and polished (late April 2024) and is ready now to cruise, club race or operate commercially.

The Australian designed and built S111s have a great reputation as fast and seaworthy yachts. This one has successfully completed many offshore events including Melb-Hobarts, Sydney-Hobarts, Melb- Devonports and most Victorian offshore coastal races over many years. She is well equipped with a good complement of sails and a full suite of Raymarine electronics including a near-new touch screen Plotter at the helm. She has the extended cabin trunk giving more room in the two aft cabins below. There are 6 fixed berths and 2 additional pipe cots, gas stove and oven. She is well powered by a Yanmar 30hp 3-cylinder diesel driving a a 3-blade folding propeller.
The roomy cockpit has plenty of space for a crew when racing or for family and friends when cruising. This well equipped S111 offers sparkling perfomance and is great fun to sail.
