Oram 60 Daggerboard Performance Catamaran

Morphis is a true bluewater cruising catamaran, built with safety as the top priority. Her build quality and design features are unmatched in her class, placing her in a league of her own.

Launched in 2010, Morphis has had only two owners. Her current owners, having completed a full circumnavigation that began in 2022, have enjoyed all the comforts and features this impressive 62ft ocean cruising catamaran has to offer.

Professionally built by Sunshine Coast catamaran builder Neil Bochow, Morphis was constructed using super-durable, weight-saving Duflex core/epoxy materials, with carbon fiber daggerboards, rudders, cleats, and stanchions.

The central nacelle provides a smooth ride in rough conditions while also enhancing the stiffness and structural integrity of the design, giving both skipper and guests peace of mind on extended crossings.

Her powerful rig, replaced in 2023, combined with slender hulls and high-spec Evolution Hydronet sails, allows for regular cruising speeds of 12 to 14 knots. The owners have even reached exhilarating speeds of over 20 knots off the South African coast, which she handled safely and with ease. These speeds not only offer a thrilling ride but are also a critical safety feature, allowing you to choose light air weather windows for a safer, more comfortable crossing without relying on engines.

When the sails are down, Morphis is powered by twin Nanni 50HP diesel engines, which are easily accessed from the deck. These engines, with recently replaced saildrives in 2020 and fully rebuilt in 2022, have less than 600 hours on them, ensuring a stress-free journey.

The helm station and navigation centre, located above deck with 360-degree views, is a standout feature of the vessel. Designed for single-handed sailing, all controls and lines lead back to 3 x stainless steel Anderson electric winches, allowing you to hoist and trim sails with the push of a button. The helm station offers full weather protection, with a sunroof that can be opened to enjoy starlit nights or sunny days during extended ocean watches.

Morphis features well-designed, clean, and flat decks that make moving around the vessel easy for everyone. The huge saloon lounge, with a separate 8-seater dining table, combined with the cockpit lounge and dining table, provides ample space for friends and family to gather.

The modern galley seamlessly flows from the saloon and offers access to the outdoor cockpit dining area through a sliding window. With high-quality fittings, including a 4-burner gas stove, separate oven, 260L of refrigeration in the two Isotherm upright fridges, a 200L deep freezer, plenty of storage, and ample bench space, you'll feel right at home.

At night, Morphis offers accommodation for 10 guests. The port hull features 2 x comfortable queen berths, Starboard hull features 2 x queens berths + 1 double and there are 2 x single watch berths on either side of the helm station. The shared toilet in the saloon companionway, with a separate full shower next door, adds an extra level of comfort on board. There is also a large ensuite bathroom in the forward port hull and an additional deck wash shower outside.

Fully equipped with effective cruising systems, Morphis is ready for new adventures. She comes with a top-of-the-range tender on electric dinghy davits, 1500 watts of solar power, a Rainman 120L/hr watermaker, great water-catching systems, 800AH of lithium batteries, Raymarine chart plotter (with charts for around the world), Raymarine radar, EVO lightning deflector, a 5kg washing machine with a separate dryer, and much more.

If you value high build quality, proven safe cruising capabilities, and a high-quality fit-out, all fully set up for single-handed cruising in comfort, then this 62ft daggerboard cruising catamaran is for you.
