Doven 30 Pilothouse "Olanjo"
"Olanjo", a PILOTHOUSE cruising yacht was designed by the highly respected Tasmanian designer, Walter Knoop and is well constructed (GRP - hand-layup) to handle exacting southern conditions. These vessels perform well under sail and are capable coastal cruisers. There are two helms, tiller steering in the deep, bimini-sheltered cockpit and wheel steering in the cosy pilothouse. The simple rig enables the vessel to be handled easily by a couple. A 15 hp Yanmar diesel engine provides ample and very economical auxiliary power. Below the deck, the saloon with a ducted cabin heater, incorporates a fully functional galley and a comfortable dinette. There are berths for 5 (including the occasional saloon berth) and a private bathroom with a hot shower.

The crew will enjoy the bimini-sheltered cockpit, with celery-top pine folding seating, removable table and gas BBQ. The pilot house with its big windows offers excellent visibility and complete shelter from the elements. The skipper and co-skipper enjoy the luxury of adjustable helm chairs. Step down to the saloon. The gallery is to starboard with the dinette to port. A dining table (interchangeable cockpit/saloon) with a comfortable settee is amidships. Aft are large quarter-berths. Forward of the bulkhead is the bathroom and the private double cabin. The headroom is generous. There is plenty of storage throughout. In recent years the refit has included new carpet and upholstery. Including bunks and settees.
