
Calypso is a 4 cabin layout Chamberlin 42, extended. Fully equipped as a cruising catamaran with solid fibreglass hulls and foam-cored composite construction above the waterline, built to last.

Set up for long distance cruising, Calypso is equipped with 1500 watts of solar (6 x 250 watt panels), 3000 watt inverter, 400 watt wind generator, 600 amp AGM battery with 50 amp smart charger. There is 700L of water in 4 separate fibreglass tanks with a HRO 30l/hr water maker.
Sailing is easy with lines running back to the cockpit with ample winches, new standing rigging replaced 2024, fully battened dacron mainsail, furling staysail and powerful headsail. When the sails are down enjoy the power of the 2 x 45 Hp Volvo Penta diesels, allowing you to cruise comfortably at 6 knots with plenty more power when needed.
Stepping into the cabin entrance way there is a large navigation/ chart table with a Raymarine MFD and switch board to give you easy control. The spacious saloon area offers ample seating for guests with plenty of windows to let the light in and keep good visibility for cruising.
The port hull features 2 well designed cabins; 1 x double aft (currently a storage/ workshop) and 1 x queen forward. Enjoy a very spacious bathroom with full separate shower midships. The starboard hull also features the same cabin layout with 1 x double berth aft and 1 x queen berth forward.
Midships, you'll find a spacious bench top galley with ample storage. The opening hatches, overhead windows, and well designed head height openings into the saloon provide the chef with plenty of space and keep them connected to guests in the saloon.
