The Beneteau First 40 designed by Bruce Farr, has won fame for its outstanding level of equipment and build quality, without any compromise on comfort or safety.
In 2012, she raced her first Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, placing 27th overall and 6th within her division. Initially purchased by her original owners in 2011, she was provisioned and equipped to meet Australian Sailing safety regulations of Category One (1).
Since undertaking her current ownership, Blunderbuss has proven to be a capable blue-water cruiser and competitive contender in club championship events. From the Dacron delivery mainsail and no. 4 Jib to the faster 100% Carbon panelled offshore main by North Sails, the owner has provided an extensive range of inventory in her sail wardrobe to keep her dressed and sailing well, for any cruising, delivery or racing events.
Blunderbuss had a clean sweep at the 2023 Spirit Marine Beneteau Cup and Mooloolaba Yacht Brokers French Yacht Challenge.
