Introducing BATAVIA, the pioneering creation of a Ward Setzer design, marking the inception of a new era in yacht craftsmanship. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the hull and fiberglass work were masterfully completed at the Sovereign Yard in Vancouver, B. C., setting the standard for excellence.
Following the completion of the shell, BATAVIA embarked on a journey to New Zealand, where machinery, joinery work, and the final touches were skilfully executed. Serving as the flagship of
the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron during the America's Cup, BATAVIA proved her mettle
before transitioning to a new owner, who spared no expense in a million-dollar refit, elevating
the marble and furnishings to the pinnacle of luxury.
Formerly known as the Sovereign Yard, the esteemed Richmond Yachts in Canada continued the legacy, constructing yachts up to 150' from the same mould. The 138' Richmond, sharing similarities with BATAVIA, boasts comparable waterline lengths, with slight differences in overall length due to features like the overhanging swim platform.
BATAVIA stands as a majestic 135' Sovereign Tri-Deck Motor Yacht, featuring a lavish full-beam master stateroom on the main deck, complemented by his and her ensuites. Below deck, four guest staterooms with separate ensuites offer unparalleled comfort. Additionally, a captain's cabin resides behind the wheelhouse, while crew accommodations are thoughtfully positioned below decks.
Entertainment abounds on the main deck, with a formal dining area, plush lounges, and custom seating arrangements leading to the outdoor deck space. Ascending to the skylounge, guests are greeted with a custom bar area and ample seating, while the exterior features a BBQ grill for al
fresco dining. Forward, the well-appointed wheelhouse boasts state-of-the-art electronics for seamless navigation.
The sun deck beckons with a fully equipped helm station, a luxurious hot tub for eight, and space for the Novurania tender and Circa davit crane. A modern galley on the main deck caters to culinary needs, while crew facilities are conveniently located below.
Powered by dual 2735HP MTU / DDEC 12V 4000 M90 shaft drive diesels, BATAVIA cruises comfortably at 12 knots with a maximum speed of 20 knots and a range of approximately
2000 nautical miles. If you seek a vessel of unparalleled luxury and performance, schedule
