The hull of "A H Dauntless" was purchased as a bare hull by the current owners in 2005 and fully fitted out as an Explorer Motor Yacht in 2006 / 2007 and it went to The Yard Shipyard in Brisbane and a new engine was fitted. After consideration of several engine options, it was agreed a new 620HP Yanmar 6LAH-STE would be fitted and it was, along with a new 28 KVA Onan plus some other mechanical and electrical works were also carried out.
Notably, extensive external modifications were conducted at The Yard to align with the preferences of the new owners. The interior showcases meticulous craftsmanship, featuring New Guinea Rosewood finishes. Following these adjustments, a complete repaint by G T Mack & Company in Brisbane breathed new life into "A.
