Enormous volume and spacious living, the Ranger 47 Aft Cabin was seen as one of the brand's most popular offerings, and for good reason. "Go Blondie" is a proven example of the 47 Aft Cabin, with wide open spaces throughout, making time spent on board peaceful and hassle-free. Go Blondie presents well, benefiting from thoughtful upgrades through its current ownership, such as a NEW 2024 46L/hr water maker and updated Cummins Onan 8kva generator, reinforcing the experience of the current owner, having owned multiple larger vessels in past decades.
Go Blondies aft boarding platform in deep and spacious, having been extended to accommodate easier movement and space for activity. Stainless steel railing and fixed platform dinghy snap davits create great functionality, with easy movement to the cockpit thanks to a flight of steps with a stainless-steel rail. The cockpit is extremely large with plenty of uncluttered space that is protected by an extended hard GRP roof. Side cockpit doors promote protection from wind for the cockpit, where the addition of PVC clears would fully enclose this area.
Access into the saloon is simple via a few steps down, revealing an open space that sports a large 3 or 4 person lounge to the port side, facing a large flatscreen TV on a riser mechanism housed to the starboard side. The pilothouse helm is situated to starboard, complemented by a wide side access door to the deck and a great range of navigation equipment. A central short staircase provides passage to the roomy galley and dinette areas, that will happily seat 6+ guests around the U-shape settee. The galley sits adjacent to the starboard side, with a broad range of amenities such as the full height fridge and freezer and upgraded oven and 4 burner electric cooktop.
Forward of the common space, a head is found to port with a separate enclosed showed and electric toilet, providing service for the spacious forward V-berth cabin.
Access to the aft cabin is found via the saloon, where a central stairway leads to what is an enormous master cabin for this size vessel. The full walkaround queen bed sits central, with plenty of bench space, storage and wardrobes surrounding. The ensuite sits to port, housing a large separate and enclosed shower stall and marine electric toilet with plenty of floor space for comfort.
Access to the flybridge can be found via the aft cockpit deck, where a few steps up reveal a wide flybridge with excellent lounge seating to port and in front of the helm. The flybridge helm station is well equipped with an upgraded Lowrance plotter and sounder and a broad range of switchgear and gauge wear. Vision out is great, with 360-degree visibility through PVC clears in great condition.
The side decks are well proportioned, with plenty of width for easy passage to and from the aft. The bow area is vast, complemented with custom storage lockers and heavy windlass gear. The non-skid finish on the bow presents structurally sound and in good order, however, does have some lifting of a recent coat of paint. The exterior overall presents in good condition, with the interior presenting exceptionally, also made apparent by the cleanliness of the engine room.
The engine room sees two main access points, one below the stairway to the aft cabin, and the other via removable floor panels in the saloon. The mechanical space is roomy with good headroom, housing twin Caterpillar 375hp diesel engines with approximately 2100 hours each side. Fitted forward of the port engine is the Cummins Onan 8kva generator and to the starboard side, a NEW (2024) reverse osmosis water maker system that will produce 46 L/hr.
This Ranger 47 Aft Cabin "Go Blondie" certainly presents a capable and spacious package for those looking for great onboard amenities and liveability. Having undergone large extended passages with its highly experienced owner, Go Blondie is ready for its next adventures.
