Maxum 3500 SCR - Just 100 hours on near new engines

The best boat to buy is one where the seller has over capitalised, where it has become a passion to create perfection at the risk of spending more than the the item will ultimately be worth. I'm certainly guilty of that. But then again, who cares about the dollars and cents if the end result provides you immense enjoyment and a sense of achievement - it's not always about the money, sometimes it just about the result. - Well this Maxum 3500 is one of those vessels! It has been a hobby for this particular owner, his obsession to 'Do it once, do it well' a mantra we should all adhere to.

Not long after purchase her current owner experienced an engine failure. Rather than replacing the petrol engine with another he decided to re-powered with two brand new out of the box Steyr diesel shaft drive engines and Coelmo diesel genset. While she was out of the water he two-pack painted her from the waterline up.

Today we have a fantastic vessel which should now provide her next owners with years of low maintenance and economical cruising.

She features a midship double berth in a private cabin plus a forward double berth and a shared bathroom with hot shower. The galley is well equipped with all the mod cons including a ducted airconditioner for relief when its just too hot out outside.

Everything presents exceptionally well. Internal finishes include gloss timber cabinetry with off white fibreglass moldings and beige carpet creating a light and spacious feel. Externally all of the upholstery is new. A fibreglass targa top provides a low maintenance support for the bimini top and camper shade covers.

Two stainless steel poles drop into brackets supporting a rear shade awning over the swimboard. The perfect place to stand under cover while cooking up a feast on the BBQ or cast a line.

If it hasn't been replaced, it's been refurbished!
