In 1973 Capatain Amora was originally built in Sydney by Keith Brown. In 1978 Sydney Amateurs Sailing Club purchased her and added the superstructure. Over the years she has been very well maintained and upgraded. Construction being carvel planked in 1 1/8" Oregon planking over spotted gum frames. Still currently owned and cared for by SASC.
- A new Volvo TAMD31M/HS1A 130hp marine diesel was installed in 1999 with a 2.63:1 gearbox and a 3-blade bronze propeller. Very low hours as only used as a start boat.
- Hydraulic wheel steering
- In 2018 most of the old wiring was replaced with new tinned cables
- New Muir Auto Anchor winch system fitted April 2024 with chain counter, Anchor chain wash down installed May 2024.2 x Anchors with 50m stainless chain
- Navman Fish 4200sx with Depth Sounder, wind instruments, Compass, VHF Radio, 2 x Batteries with solar charging
- Toilet and ss sink in galley
- Fuel 200 litres in stainless tank, Water appox 100 litres in SS tank
