The sale of the FV Michelle and Spencer Gulf Prawn Licence (P26) is a turn-key opportunity that represents excellent value in the current market. The vessel is purpose built for the Spencer Gulf Prawn Fishery and has been owned and operated by the same family since the vessel launched in 1979. The vessel runs a Detroit Diesel / MTU- Series 60 (New in vessel in May 2015), had a new s/steel 4-inch shaft installed in 2022 and the vessel presents in excellent order.
The Spencer Gulf Prawn Fishery is renowned globally for its fishery management model and has proved to be an extremely stable producer of high-quality king prawn. The fishery is in an evolutionary phase that may prove to be a fortunate time to enter the fishery for an astute investor / operator.
