Whittley is a Melbourne based Australian boat manufacturer of boats designed for the Australian ocean. The 6.6 Cruisemaster is a soft riding, dry, stable hull that you can take past Rottnest effortlessly.

My Whittley has had a small fortune spent on it in 2023 to replace the old 5.0L 200hp Mercruiser V8 and leg with a new engine with a five year factory warranty. The advantage of an inboard is that it gives the boat a much softer ride, as the weight is contained within the hull. Also the new motor has its own coolant system, like a car motor, so no salt water ever runs through the motor and cooling is more consistent than raw cooled motors. This new motor, purpose built by Mercury for marine use, is multipoint, electronic direct fuel injected for more power and better fuel economy. It starts instantly and has power steering.

2023 Trailit SR20EHW Super Roller galvanised trailer. This is rated to 3 tonne with electric hydraulic brakes. The super roller design supports the hull with more rollers spread around the hull. This puts less pressure on the keel avoiding stress fractures and makes it so easy to load.

The boat was serviced At Aquasports in 2024 and again in 2025. The Mercruiser and Bravo 3 leg came with a five year guarantee.

A comprehensive prepurchase and insurance Marine Inspection Survey was conducted on Monday 10 March by OceanPro Boat Inspections WA. The survey is 62 pages long and reports on the hull and superstructure, exterior, interior, mechanical, electrical and safety. It is supported by 309 photographs. The conclusion provides an overall inspection summary and a list of recommendations, so all prospects can have a very clear idea about the condition of this Whittley before purchase. This is a good boat. A well presented Whittley Cruisemaster 6.6, in a solid and seaworthy state and a credit to all owners who have loved this boat for many years. Flawless mechanicals, basic but functional electrical and plumbing systems and compliant to marine standards.

This 1988 Whittley Cruisemaster 6.6 has been maintained to a very high standard with a history of work receipts.
In 2021 the Large Enclosed Canopy, with Fly Screens to the Windows, were replaced. It was stored in a purpose built carport for 18 years until 2022, and is now stored in a large shed undercover.
