Vortex Monocat
Vortex Monocat. This is a big trailable yacht. 10 meters long and 3.2 meters wide. It is made of Kevlar foam sandwich and very light. All up on the trailer it is just under 2 tons to tow.
It is a monohull at the front and then becomes a catermeran at the back. Makes the boat roomy and stable.
300 kg bulb swing keel. This is hydrolically controlled from the steering binicle. The hydrolic pump is fine. The ram to the keel works but needs relacing as the shaft leaks fluid. Keel up 0.5 meter draft, keel down 3 meter draft.
Trailer is in excellent condition. New springs. No rust. WA registered. Has a dropdown spare wheel and hub. Has a swing away extender bar to launch on a shallow ramp.
15 hp motor. 2012 mercury.
Currently moored at Nedlands Yatch Club. Mooring comes with boat but you have to become a member as in their zone.
Will transport the yatch if sold interstate, except Tasmania untill I have checked the ferry to Tasmania as may not take it. You need an oversize permit to tow the yatch. In WA you get a permit for 3 years for about $100. The oversize signs, flags and orange flashing lights come with the boat. Can only tow daylight hours. You don't need an escort vehicle.
Has 9 inch Simrad Cruise GPS with Australia wide card. I haven't attached the sounder but it comes with the boat.
All safety gear. Flares, Epirb, life jackets, VHF and UHF radios and life ring.
FM Radio.
Teak interia and table in excellent condition. All cushions in excellent condition. Double V birth at front. Two single births in the two rear hulls. These are about 2.2 m long, 0.7 m wide and 1.0 m high. The table can be dropped down for another big double bed. I have the infill cushions for that but not the short center pole that holds the table up.
Main and jenoa in good condition. Self furler for jenoa. Main has boom bag which needs repairs or replacement.
Anchor winch. Has Delta anchor with chain and rode. Spare Bruce anchor. Spare 48 meters of chain as I was going to get rid of rode.
Tender is a 2 meter inflatable and 2.3 hp Honda. Both in excellent condition.
Has cork flooring in the cockpit and interior.
Airhead toilet in enclosed head. Cold shower in head. Shower water scavaging system needs to be installed. 200 liters water with electric pump.
Gas stove with safety system.
Mast raising system uses two spinniker poles and a carraige that slides in the mast track. Very stable to raise and lower mast.
Has a retractable bowsprit for top down spinniker. No spinniker or accessories.
