Profile 545C Sports 2023 - delivered new Feb 2024

John Crawford Marine continues to bring to market a bespoke range of late model trailer boats and here's yet another example now offered for sale.

This as new condition Profile 545C Sports plate alloy pontoon boat was commissioned new in February 2024 and will impress the most fastidious of boat buyers, not just because of the attractive purchase price, but look at the build quality, the clever design, use of space and features included...

Boasting a class leading sized cockpit and even a lined cuddy #attentiontodetail as detail matters. This is truly a big little boat on every sense and built like the proverbial outhouse with a 5mm bottom sheet and 3mm sides.

When the original owner was starting the process of the build, factory options were chosen that aligned with fishing both inshore estuarine waters and having the ability to head out the front yet had to be easily managed for solo use.

Hence the electric anchor winch fitted to the hull, non-skid decking in the cockpit and even fitted around the cuddy walkway. Ample storage is provided throughout the boat, under the seats, side pockets and in the transom storage holds.

The motor was also upgraded at the time of order to a Command Thrust Mercury 100Hp EFI four stroke. This CT model provides ample torque mid-range and when loaded up with the days gear and 5 aboard, doesn't break sweat like some of the smaller CC brands out there.

The big Mercury is fitted with a stainless teel Enertia propellor and linked to the Vessell View 403 LCD engine gauge fitted neatly in the dash. Fuelled by an 80l underfloor fuel tank and miserly consumption at around 1.7k's to a litre cruising at 24 knots.

The Mercury has also had fitted the "Flush-M" flushing adaptor port for further ease of back flushing with a garden hose.... It's the little things....

Profile boats initially made this 545C hull for use in New Zealand's coastal waters, and due to the quality design, foam filled pontoons, the boat eats the chop and often owners are heading well out to sea and keeping up with much larger craft. It's worth watching some of the reviews on YouTube on this model...

The helm is very comfortable to drive from, with a well laid out dash fitted with a 9" touch screen Lowrance that marries to a side scan/down scan transducer, a VHF radio, Mercury Vessel View gauge, 8 switch panel for the boats electrics and a compass atop on the dash.

Overhead a quality fabricated bimini is attached to an alloy targa bar that is fitted with 6 rod holders. This targa can be lowered as pictured so the travel tonneau cover can fit over the cockpit for transport and storage. Further front and side clears have also been made to fit and again are easily removed if needed.
