Great opportunity to purchase a Fareast 28R that has only been used under light conditions by a retired couple since new. They were after a non displacement boat and loved the 28R for its uncluttered spacious cockpit, ease of handling and especially her light wind performance.
The boat has always been maintained well, had an easy life and presents in very good condition.
This 28R has been setup for shorthanded use with a Facnor Flatdeck Jib furler, slides and cars on the main, extra spinlock clutches for both reef lines, 3mm kevlar lazy jacks and upgraded self tailing Harken sheet winches. This setup enabled them to reef or even drop the main in a very quick and easy way in case the breeze would suddenly pick up on Sydney harbour. With the option to reef furl the jib they would always be able to sail home on a small Jib only, even in 40kt of wind.
Converting the boat back to full racing mode can also easily been done.
Being realistically priced we expect her to sell quick.
