Another of WA's famous boat builders has left his mark on the WA boating community and as a testimate to the quality of the boats Douglascraft are still as well sought today as they were when coming fresh off the production line in Welshpool all those year ago.

Douglascraft had two designs in the 19 foot range, the standard ocean going mould that we see most commonly and the performance model with a heavier build, lowered lines and fantastic ride quality. The performance model was rated to 200 Hp and was commonly used in the early racing circuit in the late seventies and eighties around WA. This hull held its own in just about every situation you could get her into and with the old Merc Tower of power fitted at the time was a formidable boat to come up against. Thank goodness the Tower of power is no longer hanging off the back......

This example has had alot of love given to her and has only seen three sets of hand in all her time on the water in WA. The current owners have had he as a family boat for about the last 3 years with regular trips to Rotto and the stragglers jumping over the side to spear some on WA's most well known table fish. The two mates before that carried out all the current works and bought the boat from the original owner around 7-8 years ago.

This open plan runabout with a small cuddy cabin option will have the family out fishing, cruising or heading to Rotto in confidence with an amazing ride quality they just dont build them like this anymore, think Baron and Bonito hulls.... WA legends of the boating world. Twin helm seating with a split screen and hatch over the cabin allowing easy access to the bow to toss the anchor. A compact helm with all you might need right at and with your Lowrance Elite 7Ti sounder / GPS combo locating the best spots to fish. Ill even through in my personal GPS spots if the price is right for the vendor.

A huge back deck for this class of boat ideal for wetting a line, diving or heading for a few waves at Strickos. Long side pockets, rod racks, rubber mat flooring and twin rear 1/4 seating. High gunwales and an Anchormax cray winch fitted although you will need to check the wiring as the current owners do not fish for crays so it has not been in use in recent years. Twin rear boarding platforms with stainless steel bar work and timber inserts give it a fresh look making it easy to clamber up the back with a speargun and dive gear. Store the game rods overhead in the Stainless Steel rocket launcher for the run home. Its an ideal boat to get out to the best WA fishing spots.

Powered by a Mercury 115 Salt water series four stroke outboard with Hydraulic steering and stainless prop showing around 680 hours this 2004 Mercury outboard has years of life in here yet. Upgraded fuel capacity with twin 55 lt tanks built in under the helm and co -pilot seating gives you plenty of range for this very capable boat.
