Little Wing, which is currently located in North Haven SA, is an award winning 8 metre coastal sailer with an extensive list of equipment and improvements, making it ideal for both racing and family cruising.
Little Wing has spent recent years sailing across St Vincents Gulf to Yorke Peninsula as well coastal and gulf sailing north and south of Adelaide and Fleurier Penisula.
Acommodation on board is open berth style with toilet, which will sleep up to 6 with two doubles and two singles and fold away table for dining.
Fractional rig style. The rigging is brand new, replaced in October 2024 with new forestay, backstay and full set of shrouds with new fittings. An independant Marine Survey was also carried out for insurance in October, 2024 with overall condition signed off as "a very well maintained yacht and is safe to be used in SA Gulf waters. "
Sail wardrobe is extensive with two mainsails, two spinackers, two No1 headsails, one No2 headsail, three No3 headsails, one No4 Headsail, and one Storm Jib. Mainsails are set up for easy reefing down.
Other recent improvements include Simrad Go7 touch screen Chart Plotter with depth sonar/fish finder, Simrad VHF radio, GME marine am/fm radio with bluetooth, wind instruments fully upgraded and linked to the chart plotter so speed, depth and wind readings are all visible while sailing and solar panel with regulator to batteries.
Batteries are also brand new replaced in October, 2024. Motor upgraded from 8 to 10 HP Honda 4 stroke in 2017.
Importantly, the keel rope has just been replaced October, 2024, which raises/lowers keel via existing electric winch. Also new flares and recently replaced EPIRB.
The cabin door access has been replaced with modern (two piece) thick tinted prespex, lockabe and attractive design and in keeping with tinted perspex forward hatch.
Trailer was recently upgraded with new electrics and brakes and some new rollers as required.
A bimini is custom built to cover the cokpit area at anchor and mast is easy to drop for road transportation and servicing.
Also comes with Charcoal BBQ, boom and deck covers.
