This very rare Yamaha 24Ft Sail boat is the perfect Bay cruiser/weekender, with only a 1.4mtr draft this boat will get you anywhere in the bay without having to worry about the tide. We have sailed her from her home in Newport to Bribie, Mooloolaba, Caloundra, Moreton Island, Sangate and Manly for long weekends or day trips, she is as comfortable in the open water as she is in the bay. With all her rigging leading back to the cockpit she is the perfect solo boat and with a good crew she can sit comfortably at 6/7 knots, she feels comfortable and safe.
This litte gem comes with features of a much bigger boat with the all important wheel steering, centre mount compass, Dyneema rigging, removable transom that leads onto a secure swim platform and swim ladder for those hot lazy days when you need a swim to cool off, a fresh water deck wash/shower to clean off the salt water and then a Magma BBQ to cook up the days catch whilst grabbing an icy cold beer out of the 50 Ltr 12V fridge with small freezer. She has been completly refitted inside by a professional cabinet maker giving her a fresh modern feel, with plenty of storage for all your needs. There is also a handy forward head for the ladies that discharges directly overboard so no holding that smelly waste. There is plenty of fresh water stored on board with a 100 Ltr and a 50 Ltr bladder.
Once the day comes to an end there is the forward berth that is comfortable for 2, a Qtr berth at the rear that will easily take someone around 6 ft, there is a nice forward hatch to keep you cool as you sleep.
She has a 100amp hr Renogy Lithium battery refueled by 2 X 200 Watt rear mounted solar panels through a Renogy 40amp MPPT charge controller with Bluetooth, all her lighting is LED both inside and out, 2 fans keep the air fresh inside. The lithium battery powers all her requirements and you will never run her down with her current draw and she has all new circuit breaker panels to distribute all that energy safely.
She is powered by an 8Hp Yanmar single piston diesel engine in good working order using. 8Ltr for a cruise of 4 knots in calm water, with her 30Ltr fuel tank and a 20 Ltr reserve stored in the starboard side locker you have enough fuel to cruise for 50 plus hours if required, but with her new main sail and a good condition furling head sail you dont need that fuel, just motor into the bay turn that engine off and enjoy the ride. She starts up beautifully with her brand new Century Marine Pro 780 start battery and has a manual crank in those times of emergency. She has just been fitted with a new 40 amp alternator and new water pump impeller and fan belts.
She has all safety gear required including an inservice EPIRB, 4 X life jackets, V sheet, Flares, Fire Ext and Marine Radio.
Come and take a look at this beauty if you are keen to explore the bay and beyond.
