Wylo 2

"Allagai" is a 32ft traditional gaff rigged cutter of a Wylo 2 design with centerboard. Built in NSW out of steel, 4mm above and 5mm below water. Launched in 1996 she has extensively travelled the Australian coastline including visiting NZ and some South Pacific islands over the course of her three owners. With current Australian Ship Registration this is a very capable yacht set up for bluewater cruising and is a comfortable home for a couple to live-aboard, as she has been our home for the last 5 years. Rigged traditionaly with three working sails and two light weather topsails, asisted by an auxilary 18hp Yanmar 2gm20. By having a retractable centerboard Allagai is able to visit almost any cruising destination with a shallow draft of only 1.2m.

In 2018 an extensive refit was conducted which involved;
- An extensive repaint and inspection of hull, all the interior was removed and repainted throughout this process.
- New 10mm dyneema rigging was installed with traditional deadeyes
- All timber spars and mast were removed for overhaul
- Significant rewiring and electrical upgrades, including Victron MPPT, BMV, Inverter, battery charger. Raymarine radar /chartplotter and depth sounder along with a wind generator.
- Katadyn Powersurvivor 40e water maker installed
- New canvas dodger
- Custom solid fuel wood stove added as fireplace
- Diesel keeltank inspected, cleaned and recommissioned

Following this refit Allagai had also received continuous maintenance and upgrades whilst cruising which includes,
- Relined interior hull with Tasmanian Oak 2019
- All portholes removed and resealed 2020
- New 100L Vetus water bladder installed 2020

- 5kw diesel heater added 2022
