Description: Woods Flica 37
Turn key catamaran set up for offshore blue water sailing.

*** I have had to rush back to the UK and viewings will commence in November 2024.

Django is a 37ft Flica designed by Richard Woods and built by Palmos Yatchs in Cornwall UK 1989. A sloop rigged auxiliary powered catamaran built in thick GRP solid fiberglass.

Django has in-mast furling along with a furling genoa making her extremely easy to sail single-handed, with all running sheets routed to the cockpit. She draws only 0.8m making her the perfect boat to explore inlets and shallow atolls.

The Flica 37 is a proven offshore blue water yacht and Django has been fully kitted out for ocean sailing, crossing the South Pacific from Panama in 2022. Upgrades for the crossing include solar increase, watermaker, and full inspection of the hull.

With 2 large king-size forward cabins, 2 small double aft cabins, a spacious saloon, and a well-equipped galley django can comfortably sleep 6 adults with space for 8.

Django is powered by 2 x Volvo d120b engines with Volvo Penta 130 sail drives. Engines are well maintained, reliable, and use very little diesel.

Instruments run on a Raymarine ST70 system, comprising wind speed, depth, boat speed, and compass combined with a Raymarine type 1 linear drive ram.

Last haul out was in 02/2024 where 2 new coats of antifoul were applied along with a full inspection / change out of a few thru hulls and seacocks. The Lower leg seals and oil in the saldrive were also changed along with an engine service.

All rigging was replaced on the 08/2021 by the reputable FKG rigging in Sint Maarten with a tune-up in 2022 in French Polynesia.

New mainsail, headsail & custom made spinnaker in 2022. The old head & main are kept onboard as spares along with the storm jib.

Django comes with a Highfield double skin Alu 9ft6 tender with 15hp Suzuki 2 stroke that easily gets 3 adults plaining. Dinghy holds air & has no water leaks and the Suzuki 15hp is in excellent condition with some cosmetic marks to the engine casing.

Due to her age the interior is showing signs of use and the new owner may want to continue some sanding & varnishing to bring her back to excellent condition.

This is not a hurricane damaged boat and has recently been imported into Australia so all GST paid. I am heading back to England to spend more time with my family and it's too complicated to keep a boat on the other side of the world!

Heavy-duty trolling/fishing gear, surfboards, and spearfishing gear are to be discussed separately.
