Kaviti was built to architect plans as a classic traditional style motor yacht fitted out with basic services to allow extended cruising for up to four persons. The vessel has a white painted hull with blue topsides and cream flush deck coachhouse. Has classic lines with moderate sheer, good freeboard and seakeeping qualities, decks are laid and dynal sheathed, and features raised multi knee tapered distinctive timber toe rail. The flush deck steps down to the large cockpit with the aft deck forming the wide seats extending to the coamed gunwhale, a small lazarette locker with vent is fitted aft. A deep timber fabricated transomhung rudder with timber tiller steering is provided. Auxiliary propulson is by a four stroke inboard diesel engine with reversing reduction gearbox connected by flexible coupling to a solid three blade bronze propeller. The vessel features a stub bowsprit with chain bobstay, a gunwhale brass capped rubbing strake and a series of round small side ports down either side also feature. Quality navigation lights are fitted.
