Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 54

Pablo Neruda is one of a handful of the highly regarded and superbly built Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 54 sailing yachts, designed by some of the best ever in the late Ed Dubois with interior work by Andrew Winch.

This unique layout is certainly desired by many owners, designers and builders trying to find the thin line between great looks, a genuine raised pilot saloon with views to the sea, an internal helm station, a classic aft cockpit where you can see the bow that is great for entertaining and luxurious cabins for the owners and guests. The Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 54 does it so well and also retains the highest quality build, systems for ease of use and all the luxuries you should expect on a yacht that would have amazed the industry when first launched, and still impresses today.

Heading out for the photography and sea trials near Athens in Greece on this vessel was a special experience. This is certainly an extremely well built vessel with a grace and feel underway that can't be replicated today without millions spent. The mechanical systems are virtually silent beneath, the stong hydraulic bow thruster made manoeuvring from the pen in stong winds a breeze and once we left Pablo on the Highfield RIB with Yamaha outboard to take photos the owner was at ease, singlee handed, unfurling the electric hydraulic furling sails controlled from the helm stations and was having a ball off the coast of Athens, greece

Pablo Neruda has always benefited from owners who have enjoyed and cared for this superb yacht. She is fitted with all the gear needed to keep cruising in style and luxury.

Available now out of Greece, near Athens. Contact us at Flagstaff marine for further information.
