Archilles is a good example of these popular yachts. H28's are long keel yachts know for the sea kindliness and good sailing manners.
Archilles was built in 1984 and is of fibreglass construction. She is sloop rigged with 2 headsails on a furler, mainsail (in a boom bag with lazy jacks) and spinnaker (and pole). She has a tiller pilot, GPS, electric anchor winch (with new chain and anchor), stereo, VHF radio, wind generator (working??) and a new starter battery. There is a house bank, but condition is unknown. The engine is a Bukh 2-cylinder diesel and runs well in forward and reverse.
There is an induction hotplate stove, an electric oven, composting toilet, a small electric free-standing fridge 12v/240v and chest fridge (working ??). There is new foam to make new cushions (and the old ones still exist), a solid cockpit bimini and dodger, a magma gas BBQ, swim ladder and a small mercury outboard motor (no tender)
The boat has sat in the marina for a number of years without much love and needs someone looking for a bit of a project to clean her up and bring her back to her former glory. Her bones are good.
