'Quasar' was built to Commercial survey and has an incredible history as a charter yacht often with international clients. Built by Brian Sutherland and highly regarded as one of the fastest racer cruisers built winning the Adelaide to Port Lincoln yacht race in her early days. She is a fast lightweight aluminium yacht of the famous Van De Stadt, Voortrekker design built to Loyd's 100A+ and in survey for over 20yrs. She has a racing speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 5-10 knots. She has sailed extensively around port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island South Australia as a charter - training yacht. She is designed to sail single handed or with a crew. Due to the ease of the self tacking jib and main taking designed to take the pressure off the steer-er. The seating and accommodation inside is awesome and very comfortable with seating for 10 people in the Saloon. There is bunk room forward and 2 x quarter berths
