1983 Vagabond 31 'Sabalo'
This yacht was an instant classic the moment it was launched in 1983 with its traditional full keel design, single handed sailing ability and Scandinavian timber interior fit out. The Class has since garnered a strong following amongst the many past and present owners. Much like the similar Westsail 32 that came before it, enjoy a type of yacht ownership that very few get to enjoy. The Vagabond was built of solid hand laid fiberglass to ensure it could tackle the transoceanic voyages it was designed to do and according to the owner this one has two Atlantic and one Pacific crossings to its credit.
The previous owner has taken full care, and spared little expense, in refitting the boat with the necessary improvements to make her safer and in-keeping with more modern yachts but at the same time preserving her integrity as a traditional yacht.
Major life changes for the owners have led to 'Sabalo' being up for sale.
Please note, the previous diesel engine has been replaced with a 14kw ELCO 2000 electric motor. Battery charging currently is through shore power only.
