These John C Alsop designed cruiser/racers are an excellent entry level yacht that are safe, stable and easy to sail.
This boat has been an excellent vessel on the journey from the novice stage, progressing to competent sailing, offshore cruising and club racing with credible results.
The sailing experience has been enhanced with the addition of a seldon furler as well as six new cabin clutches and all controls led back to the cockpit. The boat has a Laminate furling genoa with luff pad to facilitate effective reefing on the furler, a laminate No. 2 furling headsail and a laminate mainsail. The Genoa and mainsail are in very good condition and the No. 2 headsail is in fair condition. The boat has a current Cat 7 compliance certificate.
From a maintance perspective, the standing rigging was replaced in 2021.
The engine cylinder head was rebuilt in 2022 including new fuel injector and the water pump replaced in 2024.
A Tides marine drippless shaft seal was fitted in 2022 along with a new shaft, engine mounts and cutlass bearings and the JBC feathering propellor serviced. The rudder bushes were replaced in 2022.
In summary, the boat has been well maintained and in good condition.
