Tradewinds 33

Wind Shift is a Tradewinds 33 designed by John Rockand built in UK. She was launched in 1983, she is an excellent blue water sailboat that has sailed in the Med, crossed the Atlantic several times and sailed across the Pacific to Australia via Panama Canal. Tradewinds yachts have been a popular choice for contestants in the solo round the world in the Golden Globe race with Tradewinds yachts completing the race in both editions. She is an extremely solid and safe boat with a full keel, whilst not the fastest boat, she is a very capable boat and will always get you to your destination. She is a fine example, in good condition, well maintained and much loved. She is well set up for coastal cruising or offshore waters. The cockpit is deep and secure, with wide beam, giving good access to foredeck. She configured as a cutter rig. Below decks there is good head room, the extensive use of teak giving a warm inviting living space. The accomodation consists of a double V- berth and two single berths. As one would expect from a blue water cruiser, there is extensive storage capacity. She is powered by a 24 hp Bukh diesel, a reliable Danish diesel used in many lifeboats. She is currently on a serviced swing mooring located in Barnes Bay, Bruny Is., an extremely well protected anchorage which is also available by negotiation and subject to MAST approval.
