Townson 34 by Austral Yachts

The Townson 34 is an elegant design with classic lines.

This one is presently moored on the Brisbane River awaiting a new owner.

This vessel was built in 1978 by Austral Yachts to the design of Des Townson.

It was described in its December 2023 out of water inspection Survey as structurally sound though requiring maintenance in some areas including the replacement of standing rigging and completion of toilet installation.

The survey states "the original build quality appears to be very good with all fibreglass mouldings in good order. "

According to the Surveyor's report "Construction is quality fibreglass mouldings with hull strengthened by integrally moulded frames and stringers... All structural components are in good condition and the hull is a rigid seaworthy structure. "

Townson 34's are renowned in yachting circles as cruising and racing yachts.

Engine power for the vessel is a Bukh 20 hp diesel driving a 2 blade propeller.

Accommodation is provided for up to six people with a forward double berth, convertible dinette and quarter berths.

Over the past year the owner carried out minor maintenance works on the vessel but passed away earlier this year without making major changes.

The vessel is being sold as is. The vessel has not been slipped since December 2023 and there is some weed growth under the water line.
