The Tasman 35 is a popular sailing catamaran known for its stability, performance, and spacious design. It was designed by Roger Simpson and built in Queensland.
Key Features:
Length Overall:10.7 m.
Beam (Width): 5.0 m, providing excellent catamaran stability.
Draft: 1 to 1.2 m, which is relatively shallow, allowing the vessel to access more areas in shallow waters, including reefs and coastal coves.
Displacement: 5,500 kg,
Sail Area: Around 60-70 square metres, which provides enough power for cruising and some performance under wind conditions.
Design and Layout:
Hull Design: The Tasman 35 features a twin-hull configuration, which provides better stability than a monohull, especially in rough conditions.
Interior Layout: The interior features a spacious saloon and galley for a boat of its size.
Sleeping accommodations are in both hulls ( two double cabins), and additional berths in the main saloon.
Cockpit: The large cockpit offers excellent visibility, which is ideal for handling sails and relaxing.
