Description: Sweden Yachts 390 - Luxury Performance Cruiser for Offshore Saiing
The 390 is designed for shorthanded sailing with optional cutter rig, clean deck lines and a comfortable, efficient cockpit. Built to Lloyd's certification standards the Sweden 390 is "A yacht for All Weathers". 'Vestlandskyss' (or 'Westland Kiss') offers you two separate cabins in addition to the main saloon and has a large head with shower which opens through to the forward cabin. There is an oversized owner's cabin with port and starboard access aft. Also a proper navigation station, well-functioning pantry and ample locker space throughout the boat.
Her current (third) owners departed Norway in 2022 and have cruised across the Atlantic, Caribbean and found their way to Mexico having hauled out at Panama for a short interlude. They love her tall rig and the efficient sail plan options with cutter and full slab reefing which makes the boat very balanced and safe, while equally fun and easy to maintain 7kts under sail.

Remarks
Hull Construction: End Grain balsa core sandwich using fibreglass mat and roving on both sides, gives a light, rigid and well insulated hull. Balsa core is used from toe rail to below water line. Solid laminate used in high stress areas around keel, mast foot and in the joint between the hull-halves. Bottom reinforcemants are longitudinal and transversal solid laminate design. The hull and deck is bonded together using polyester filler. The toe rail is then bolted through deck and hull flange, using a special sealing material.
Rudder: The balanced spade rudder is moulded in fibreglass, using roving and mat, for maximum strength. The rudder stock is of stainless steel with three bearings, 2 ballbearings and one bronze bearing in the heel.
Internal Construction: All main bulkheads bonded to hull and deck, using glass fibre and polyester. All main visible hullsides covered by mahogany planking ribs. Ceiling, top-sides and minor visible hull sides with foam backed vinyl. Hull sides, bottom, bilge etc topcoated throughout the interior.
Sweden Yachts designed and especially developed a steel beam system, allowing heavy loads to be taken by bulkheads, without the need for additional internal reinforcements.
Bolts, nuts, washers and screws used for fastening deck equipment are of stainless steel. Sealant used between deck and equipment is polyurethane, silicone or specially developed material.
