We transit the canal and now in Panama City and ready to cross the Pacific. We have sailed to 20 countries in the 7 years we have had the happy position as owners of this Swan 47.
SWAN is a beautiful classic yacht from the famous designers Sparkman & Stephens, and built by famous yacht builder Nautor Swan.
Between 1975 and 1983 there were 70 Swan 47 built in Finland. This Swan is build 60 - June 1981. It is the mark two version which is most sought after. They have several times been judged the world's best sail boats. These yachts are now collectibles.
This Swan was refitted in New Zealand as an EXPEDITION yacht and has sailed the world including around the horn and eight times across the Atlantic. Continual maintaince and updates have been meticulous.
Swan is a pocket super yacht with two A/C units, a solid Teak interior, fresh water toilets, and the highest quality of equipment available. It has carbon fiber mast, spars and carbon rudder. Swan is a very fast sailboat. Rewired in 2016, and the latest B&G Zeuss Navpod installed.
There are eight berths, but we are sailing two up - a 75 year old man and 45kg wife.
We have liked sailing the world as this is a superb ocean sailing yacht, for cruising or racing.
Recently added Iridium Go, additional solar panel, spare fresh water pump, and new boatcover.
Currently installing a Monitor windvane.
This year serviced liferaft, full service on outboard, rebuilt anchor windlass, serviced EPIRB, regassed and serviced refrigerator and freezer.
