Sonata 8

It has been over 16 years since Working Capital, a Sonata 8 fixed keel has been on the market. She is raced 2 handed but goes much better 3 handed so the new owner has the potential to extract more out of her. Conversely cruising light handed or with a full complement is also most enjoyable, especially with a 2 speed winch on the jib and snubbing winch for halyards etc.

She has a good race record in both AMS and PHS being Club Champion twice in its life at HBYC.
She has been kept on the hardstand for at least the last 17 years. She comes with a full set of sails Main, #1,2 & 3, reaching and running spinnakers, all in very good condition plus an assortment of cruising and storm sails.

The Tohatsu 6HP 4 stroke, long shaft motor has been serviced this year.
Working Capital comes complete with a Garmin chart plotter and a Garmin handheld. A fixed and a handheld VHF radio. She currently holds Cat 5N compliance including all the safety gear required for Cat 5N.

Whilst I mainly use her for racing, the owner before me used her for mainly day sailing, whilst the owner before that did overnight stays in her.

(Hardstand storage is available at Hobson Bay Yacht Club (Williamstown) if needed)
