SIMPSON INSPIRATION 11  

After over a year cruising the east coast between Sydney and Lizard Island it is time for us to offer this affordable live-aboard Catamaran to the new lucky owners.

This Inspiration, launched in 1998, is one of only a few boats built having a different layout than earlier models. It has been predominately built out of foam sandwhich, both hulls and decks. This production boat was built to full survey by the original owners. In 2019 it was upgraded by the previous owners. Sugar scoops have been professionally lengthened to add swim steps.

With 2 Large Identical Queen cabins, a double cabin aft and a larger saloon, this design is spacious and allows for comfortable cruising. All cabins have generous hanging spaces and cupboards. The large galley is complete with gas oven and stove, double sink, ample storage and bench space.

It has had extensive and ongoing refits and improvements including since 2019;
- rerigging of both standing and running rigging in 2019.
- Maxwell HRC8mm Windass with new 60m G43 8mm Galvanised chain in 2023 plus 40m braid line. The windlass can also effortlessly lift the main sail with remote controls from the cockpit and foot controls at the rode counter.

- Insect shade screens to cockpit, cockpit cushions, helm seat, window screens to sides and front
- Memory Foam Mattress toppers to both cabins, with x3 sets matching linen.
- New 2 piece vinyl mattress in aft cabin available (cabin currently used as storage/pantry)

- New fittings in head
- Lights have all been changed to LED except for lower running lights.

Twin Yanmar 3GM 30hp engines with SD20 saildrives, approximately 1700hrs. Regular services completed by qualified diesel fitter. In Novemeber 2023 both engines had new injectors, diesel lift pumps, fuel lines, starboard starter motor and air filters replaced with the seawater pumps rebuilt. In February 2024 new Gori 3 blade folding props and sail drive seal kits installed.
