Aquavista... Well where do I start? At the finish line. We travelled with Aquavista for several years, on what we considered a performance cruising cat, from Yamba to Lizard island and she really is a dark horse, surprising many at how well she sailed. For a catamaran that is under 12m, you won't find a better boat for room, storage, sailing performance and pure simplicity.
Unlike the heavier built sister ships with mini keels, diesels and conservative rigs, Aquavista was built lighter using more foam sandwich construction but solid fibreglass under the water line creating a stiff, light and responsive sailing vessel.
Many improvements have been made over the years including an expansive solid foam sandwich cockpit cover with windscreen and side and rear covers.
Hull extensions for better access while swimming and dinghy boarding. A screecher was added, stainless targa davits, solar increased to 640 watts, an electric winch for dinghy davits and screecher furling line, new windows and hatch perspex and a B & G plotter, AIS and Raymarine package.
Stepping aboard Aquavista you are greeted with a large but secure cockpit with great visibility from the helm. The saloon can seat up to 8 people comfortably for pot luck dinners, the galley is down below to starboard but still in a position to interact with guests in the saloon. Huge 200ltr top opening inbuilt 12v refrigeration system and 90ltr freezer. Plenty of bench space, storage, oven and stove top.
The two forward cabins are huge, with king size beds and rare forward and side facing windows to keep an eye on what's happening outside. Good sized head and shower is aft in the starboard hull and a double cabin aft port hand side.
Aquavista is now ready to take you away to where you're going.
