Pogo 40 GTE
*Perfect for short handed sailing
*Water ballast
*Offshore ready
*Water maker and so much more
The Pogo 40 GTE is a high-performance sailing yacht designed by the French naval architect Finot-Conq and built by the shipyard Structures in France. The Pogo 40 GTE is part of the Pogo range, known for its lightweight, speed, and agility, particularly in offshore racing and cruising.
With an ergonomic cockpit she is designed to be sailed easily single-handed or with reduced crew. Her custom-built hard dodger provides shelter for the on-watch crew improving fatigue management and comfort at sea. With the legendary strength and sea-keeping qualities of the water ballasted Class 40 design she is capable of exhilarating speed off the breeze. She needs no encouragement to get up onto the plane and loves to boogie.
Since relocating to Western Australia in 2021 she has been professionally maintained and has benefited from new sails (3Di), new electronics, new running rigging, and many other upgrades as noted on her extensive inventory. Racing on PHS she has turned in some creditable results in some of the longer WA Blue Water races, 1st Fremantle to Exmouth, 1st Geraldton to Fremantle and 2nd Cape Naturaliste Return.
Down below her elegant and easy to maintain interior has provided comfort for a crew of 6 on long passages. With ample stowage and a simple yet well thought out design she is the perfect racing/cruising cross over boat. There is sufficient internal ballast to make her unsinkable.
