Oceanic 46 Performance Cruising yacht

This design was created by Jack Savage for his world circumnavigation, hence the solid fibreglass hull with an encsapsulated( not bolt on) lead filled fin keel drawing 1.8 m for stability upwind and deep skeg hung rudder for absolute control in any conditions. Her moderate 12'6" beam makes her an easily driven hull so she easily reaches at 7.5-8.5 kts. The weather protected deep centre cockpit minimises movement ar sea and the solid dodger is a haven on passage. Many of these designs have circumnavigated the world doing 180 + mile days effortlessly.

Her substantial solar array of 1.1 kw charging 300 amps of Lithium ion phosphate batteries makes her completely power independant and her 3000 watt Victron inverter provides 240 v on demand to run air fryers, coffee machines etc

Saloon seating for 8 on her plush blue leather upholestry is supremely comfortable and she sleeps 6 in her two double cabins and two singles in the saloon.

The L- shaped galley to port amidships is equipped with deep twin stainless sinks, pressure hot water, carbon filtered water, heaps of cupboard and locker space, two burner gas stove and grill, plenty of refrigeration for extended cruising.

On deck she has all brand new furling sails controlled from the cockpit, including the electric / hydraulic in mast Furling Main makes for easier and safer sail handling, critical on night passages. The mainsail can be furled easily at the press of a button, regardless of wind angle.

Remarks
This is the owner's second Oceanic 46, the first he built from hull and deck and launched in 1998. He has done over 40,000 miles sailing in his various yachts since the eighties and he bought Swordfish to sail solo to and around Tasmania, so did the refit with this in mind. These yachts are immensely strongly built with solid fibreglass hull and composite heavily laid deck. The solid dodger with high quality clears and all furling sails controlled from the cockpit is a game changer when at sea.
Owner's circumstances have changed hence this amazing vessel is now ready for you to cruise her anywhere your cruising dream takes you... She reaches at around 8kts + in 16 kts of wind and points 40 degrees doing 6 kts upwind with her new sails and clean bottom, depending on sea conditions.
Now seriously for sale at well under refit cost, Swordfish is practically ready for a circumnavigation of Australia or the World (just add liferaft).
