Gilt Edge is a beautiful, meticulously maintained North Shore 31, a compact, well-proportioned fractional sloop rig built for cruising, racing. She has a balanced hull design, large rudder, a bulbed fin keel which gives remarkable stability and handling. She boasts a new engine package, a roomy deck and vast cockpit, tiller steering, a walk-through stern with easy access to aft swim platform and fold-up stainless-steel ladder. All sail controls lead aft, to ensure ease of sailing with just a crew of two, or you. The spacious, well-designed interior exceeds the expectations of a 31-footer. She features her own private double berth sleeping cabin, a large bathroom with toilet and shower, huge galley, nav station, guest double berth forward and delightful and comfortable saloon area. In all, sleeping up to 6 people if needed. She is a classic example of her era.

Built by North Shore Yachts, Gilt Edge has successfully competed in offshore races, including the Fremantle to Geraldton Ocean classic race. For the last 2 years, she has been sailed Perth to Quindalup. During this period, whilst penned at Port Geographe Marina, she has undergone significant work and refurbishing including:

New Volvo D1-20 diesel engine - 11 hours engine operation;

With installation of the new VP D1-20 engine, all rich classic teak veneer has been refurbished, re-built and fixed in a manner enabling every sailboat owner's need - ease of access to the engine bay and componentry; simple and efficient pre-start checks, maintenance and servicing.
