Mystere 25

Built by Mike Bannell and Alan Heaslip of AB Fibreglass Services in Sydney, designed by John Alsop. Éclair (named in reference to the 16mm cinematography movie camera) is a solidly built example boasting a friendly and functional layout above and below deck. With plenty of miles she has proven robust and reliable vessel in need of a new custodian after 40+ years with the one owner.

Moored in sought after Woodford Bay she has been a frequent sailor across the fantastic waterways of Sydney having also undertaken regular weeklong trips up to Pittwater and surrounds.
Powered by a Yanmar 1GM10 diesel inboard that fires to life with the lightest of starter button touches and provides outstanding economy and peace of mind. With a full set of sails she could do with a couple of her lines and pulleys updated and a service of her winches but is otherwise in good shape and serviceable.

She is currently due to be slipped after a winter of limited use, but the warmer winter waters this year have allowed some growth around her waterline.

Recent work has included the removal of depth and speed transducer ready for the new owner's choice of instruments which is an opportunity to bring her right up to date.

Single handed sailing is possible as all lines can be accessed from the cockpit but the addition of a ST1000+ autopilot would lift this experience to an effortless level.

This is a much-loved vessel and presents as fantastic value for a keen sailor whilst being family friendly.

Includes tender, oars and 2 horsepower Mariner outboard if required. Tender is registered with council on shoreline at Woodford Bay in prime position.

Selling on behalf of my father-in-law I've captained this vessel many times and regularly as solo. Éclair is ready for its next custodian to enjoy.

November update: Took it out on Sunday for a run - now due for a slip and bottom clean. Dropping price accordingly
