Accommodation
The interior is finished with white paint in the midships areas with teak varnished floorboards. The two aft storage lockers (port side has sink and F/W tap) has clear carbon bench tops. Comfortable sofas with Leatherette cushions are built into the saloon area structure to provide a basic area to relax below decks. The other working areas are clear carbon finish and there is an enclosed head compartment in the bow with electric flush toilet.

Safety Gear
The Red Hand is set up exclusively for inshore racing and is certified to Australian Sailing Category 7 standard. The yacht is fitted with 12V electric bilge pumps, manual bilge pump, fire extinguishers, Fortress anchor, chain, and warp, 8 x Spinlock Alto personal flotation aids, May-west style lifejackets, life ring and other necessary items. Note- there are safety rails and sockets in the deck for when the
boat is on the hard-stand.

Electrics
The Red Hand has a 12/24V DC electrical system installed, and most of the electrical equipment and batteries are in the aft section of the machinery space. The 12V system is for engine start, lighting, instruments etc. The consumers are powered via a Mastervolt DC Master 24/12 DC/DC converter.
The 24V system is for winches and hydraulic DC pumps. There is an 8-breaker 12 DC switch board for onboard consumers, engine and house battery isolation switches and emergency parallel switch in the event of failed engine start battery.
8 x Lifeline GPL-6CT 6V 300Ah batteries to create 24V bank.
1 x Mastervolt 12V 55Ah AGM start battery.
Charging via 240V ProNautic 24V/ 30amp shore power charger, 150amp 24V alternator and 80amp 12V alternator on main engine
Electronics
B&G H3000 system with vertical masthead Anemometer, Depth/ temperature sensor, Paddlewheel boat speed sensor, Halcyon 2000 Compass, GPS, clinometer heel sensor, Load Cell pin on Forestay. On deck displays include 4 x H3000 FFDs and 6 x 20/20 displays mounted on black anodized alloy mast bracket and B&G Wifi connection.

Mast / Rigging
Running rigging: Latest rope technology supplied by Sydney Rigging Specialists which includes all necessary sheets (jib, genoa, and spinnaker), mainsheet, runner tails and halyards.
The Red Hand is fitted with a custom Hall Spars 3 spreader carbon fibre mast and boom. The mast is fitted with Hall Spars solid carbon, aerofoil rigging (except D1- Nitronic rod) and halyard locks for the main halyard, jib halyard and single outboard reef. A Harken switch track and Harken mainsail cars contain the sail on the mast. The mast was removed and checked including NDT testing of carbon rigging December 2022.
Other features include adjustable topmast backstays with 2 x checkstay's, Adjustable heel plate, internal mast jack, new Hall spars reaching strut and adjustable length whisker pole for jib or genoa.
Deck Gear
All deck gear is Harken, Spinlock or custom including winches, blocks, in/out and up/down jib sheeting, carbon fibre handrails, soft loop through deck padeyes, helmsman platforms, custom sliding forward hatch with pneumatic seal.
Winches:
Primaries- 2 x Harken 65.3 three speed, self-tailing mounted on plinths in the cockpit side.
Mainsheet- 1 x Harken 65.3 three speed, self-tailing mounted on central mainsheet island.
Pit- 2 x Harken 46 Performa two speed, self-tailing mounted forward in cockpit.
Running Backstay- 2 x Harken 60 Performa two speed, self-tailing mounted on plinths in the cockpit side.
Hydraulic system by Navtec with the following sail functions controlled by Navtec system 50 panel on the mainsheet island. 2 x 24V DC pumps provide powered hydraulic functions. One pump is dedicated to the vang. Hydraulic functions:

An internal mast jack is fitted with Enerpac removable hand pump.
