"Osprey" is a very well-presented centre-cockpit Martzcraft 35, one of the all-time great cruising yachts in its class. Brent Martz was a wizard when it came to constructing strong, fair, fibreglass boats. The Martzcraft 35 are still sought after by those in the know for many sound reasons... *Excellent sea-keeping and strong construction. *The comfortable (dry) centre cockpit. *The outstanding accommodations... Featuring a delightful saloon, a remarkably spacious aft double cabin, a galley and a bathroom that are probably the best of any boat of this size. Then there is the cosy forward cabin with twin single berths. Below the deck, the quality timber fit-out lends to the cosy ambience. Back on deck, the features include *An inflatable dinghy on davits. *Pushpit seating. * A cushioned centre cockpit sheltered by a spray hood. *A rig set up for short-handed sailing with a Profurl in-boom furling main, a furling headsail and cockpit sail management. This fine vessel is well-equipped for long-distance cruising. The suite of electronics (see below) includes radar. When you step down to the saloon the warm ambience created by sunlight on the superb timber fitout is striking. The second striking feature is the sense of space. To the starboard of the companionway, the galley runs from the saloon to the aft cabin. It is an extraordinary galley for a vessel of this size. But then so is the aft double cabin with its semi-island double berth, integrated lockers, light and ventilation. To port of the companionway is the navigation station and immediately aft is a bathroom that would do a 40-footer proud. Upholstered settees down each side of the saloon with a drop leaf table amidship. Forward of the bulkhead is the private V-cabin with two single berths. In summary, this is an exceptionally well-designed and comfortable vessel.
