The Lagoon 500,"Soft Soul", a 3-cabin (owners' stateroom) model is the very definition of cruising luxury. However, luxury aside, the Lagoon 500 is a proven blue-water capable vessel with sister ships safely cruising the great oceans. With high topsides (immense bridge-deck clearance) and inherent stability, these big, easily handled vessels perform well at sea. Innovative design makes the most of the vast space on deck and below with layouts and systems maximising efficient boat handling, crew comfort and safety.
The skipper cons the vessel from the high, mid-ship (step-up) 'flybridge' sheltered by a hard top bimini. Sheets and halyards are managed from the helm station with a battery of powered winches close handy. When cruising open waters the skipper can run the vessel from the saloon navigation station equipped with an autopilot remote and chartplotter. Opening front saloon windows provides ventilation and enables skipper/foredeck crew communication. The widely separated twin engines make for precision manoeuvring in and out of the marina. The twin 75hp Yanmar engines efficiently power the vessel at a cruise speed of around 7 knots. The relatively shallow draft is a bonus allowing close-in anchoring when cruising the coast.
A brief walk-through: Step aboard via the laid teak boarding platforms aft (or midship gates) and into the fully sheltered cockpit (hardtop bimini with clear side curtains). This cockpit, with cushioned seating around a large table, a food preparation bench with a fridge under, a sink with a hot/cold mixer tap and a gas BBQ (on the transom) is where the crew will spend a lot of time entertaining, dining alfresco and just relaxing while watching the sun go down. Step through to the spacious, light-filled (windows all around) bridge-deck saloon. The cabinetry is in Alpi Teak with Oak sole. This space incorporates an 8-seat lounge, a large (4-leaf) dining table, the navigation station and the full-service galley.
Step down to port to two private (queen-size) cabins with ensuites, a laundry, a large refrigerator and a freezer (in addition to galley and cockpit refrigeration). To starboard is the extraordinary owners' stateroom featuring a king-size island bed, a big well-appointed ensuite, a dressing room, a work desk and a lounge suite.
The generous storage (lockers and drawers) throughout is sufficient to stow the gear of a full crew for an extended cruise. The crew is further pampered with the aircon (ducted throughout), a comprehensive range of visual and audio entertainment systems and foredeck lounges where the crew can kick back and enjoy the sun and the scenery. Safety on deck is enhanced by higher-than-regulation sea rails.
REALIZE YOUR DREAM... In absolute comfort and safety, cruise the coast or cross oceans with family and friends. Consider "Soft Soul" AS YOUR NEW HOME... DO THE MATH. 'Soft Soul' offers comfort and convenience equating to a fine apartment. This home allows you to change the scenery (and the neighbours) daily if you so desire... AND COME WINTER, WHY NOT UP-ANCHOR AND CHASE THE SUN?

Accommodation
"Soft Soul" is a cruising vessel with such space on deck and below that, even with a full crew there is no sense of crowding and crew members can enjoy private space. The designers' clever layouts have made the spaces work to maximum efficiency.
We step aboard via the laid teak boarding platforms aft (or midship gates) and up to the fully sheltered cockpit (hardtop bimini with clear side curtains).
This cockpit with cushioned seating around a large table, a food preparation bench with a fridge under, a sink with a mixer tap and a gas BBQ on the transom is where you will spend a lot of time entertaining, dining alfresco and just relaxing as the sun goes down. Then step through to the spacious, light-filled (windows all around) bridge-deck saloon with its cabinetry finished in Alpi Teak (Oak sole). This space incorporates an 8-seat lounge with a large, square (four-leaf) dining table, a comprehensively equipped navigation and a full-service galley.
Step down to port to two private (queen-size berths) cabins each with ensuites, the laundry with an under-bench Miele washing machine, a front-opening Vitrifigo refrigerator and a stand-alone freezer (in addition to the galley and cockpit fridges).
Down the steps to starboard is the truly magnificent owner's stateroom featuring a king-size island bed, a dressing room, a well-appointed ensuite, a work desk and a lounge suite.
The generous storage (lockers and drawers) is sufficient to stow the gear of a full crew for an extended cruise. And of course, the aircon is ducted throughout. Crew entertainment is not forgotten with a comprehensive range of visual and audio entertainment systems. There are well-located opening cabin ports/hatches to provide light and ventilation.
On the expansive foredeck crew can relax in the sun while enjoying the scenery as they bask on the foredeck lounges. Safety on deck is enhanced by higher-than-regulation sea rails.
Cabins
3 x private sleeping cabins.
Berths
Sleep 6 in queen size double beds.
Galley
The U-shaped galley is strategically located in the forward port quarter of the bridge deck saloon. Cook will appreciate the outlook and light from the big windows (some opening). The stove/oven, deep stainless sink (hot/cold mixer tap plus saltwater rinse tap), fridges/freezers, microwave, cutlery and crockery are all within cooks' easy reach. There are masses of food preparation benchtop spaces and ample storage lockers and drawers close at hand. A Miele dishwasher minimises the drudgery of washing up. This is a galley to delight any sea-going cook. And a happy cook makes for a happy crew.
