CAPE, a 2016 Lagoon 450s, is a highly sort after Sports Top version of the Lagoon 450, allowing sailors to enjoy the comfort of a 45 foot catamaran with a helm post in instead of a flybridge. The mast and sail areas are the same on both versions, but the sports top model's lower boom reduces pitching as well as making the boom and sail bag easier and safer to access. The helm post, with rigid bimini top and double seat, is easily accessed from the cockpit or deck. It has excellent all-round visibility yet is still very inclusive for conversation and fun with family and guests in the cockpit, saloon and galley. Sheltered from all weather with the added safety of full canvas and clear covers for the helm and cockpit as well as safety netting.

CAPE can easily be sailed by a couple, or single handed, with all lines leading back to the helm with three electric winches and a full B and G electronic package. The dinghy is raised with a two speed electric winch.

The cockpit has a large table with L-shaped seating, a sun bed and isotherm fridge. The saloon is light and bright with 360° views, large dining table which drops for extra sleeping, and seating with under storage, as well as a navigation desk. Entertainment is always on hand with a Smart TV and Fusion sound system complete with speakers in saloon and cockpit.

The fully-equipped U shaped galley has direct access to the cockpit and includes a gas oven and stove; induction cooktop; three way microwave, convection and grill combo oven; double stainless steel sink, front loading 130 litre 12V fridge and front loading 130 litre 12V freezer.

The 4 double cabins have wardrobes and storage, while the 4 ensuites each have electric WCs and enclosed showers. The 2 forepeak cabins are currently used for storage.

Comfortable at sea and at anchor with loads of room, this catamaran is self-sufficient for comfortable live-a-board sailing with Duo 100 L/hr water maker, Onan 11 kva generator, 640 w solar, 950 Ah lithium house batteries, and more. With five reverse cycle (cooling and heating) airconditioning units, a comfortable temperature can be maintained in all seasons.

The bulkheads were inspected in 2022 and were in excellent condition with no damage found. In 2023 the bulkhead kits were installed by a Lagoon approved shipyard and Lagoon Certification has been issued in writing and is registered on the Lagoon system.

CAPE is a proven passage maker having been sailed by the previous owner to the Caribbean and back. We have completed three wonderful seasons sailing France, Italy, Croatia, Albania, Montenegro and Greece. CAPE comes with spare parts, tools, fishing equipment, scuba tank and gear, and full safety equipment including a 12 person life raft.
