1980 Knoop 27 'Calenture' for sale. Great little boat but needs some TLC, has been 2 years since her last slip and antifoul and engine service. Well set up for solo sailing, perfect for beginners. Love this boat but moved overseas so can no longer look after her.
Tasmanian designed and built, the Knoop 27 is renowned for its excellent sailing performance and sea keeping abilities. Easily managed shorthanded, it is a versatile yacht which can be comfortably sailed single handed, but has the turn of speed to be competitive as a club twilight racer if desired. This vessel has also been used as a liveaboard. The saloon is light and airy with a dinette that seats 2 that can be converted to a ¾ berth, a single settee berth, and a generous double berth. The galley features a 2 burner metho stove, stainless steel sink, and fresh water. On deck, the cockpit is well set up for shorthanded sailing, with all controls coming back to the cabin top. The sails are easily managed with a furler and boombag with lazy jacks.
