Looking for a serious race yacht? Then Another Fiasco should be on your short list.
With an extensive racing history she was originally launched as Maglieri Wines and competed in her 1st Sydney to Hobart and finished well down in the record 371-boat fleet in 1994. She then went on to fifth overall in '95, was 10th in '96,17th in '97 (with a ninth in IMS). She was then sold and became Esprit de Corps and retired from the 1998 and 1999 Hobarts. Under new ownership she was renamed Frontier Economics and finished 15th overall under IRC in the 2000 Hobart. She went on to win PHS overall in the 2006 Hobart before re-rating for IRC. She finished 29th overall in 2007 and 57th overall in 2009.
Constructed from Kevlar she is has a very strong hull and being designed to go offshore, all the deck gear and winches are more heavier duty than her rival the Farr 40.
Inside she has been kitted out with a few more creature comforts than your typical race yacht, with a small kitchen and 9 bunks.
She is definitely a project boat for someone and does need work to restore her to her former glory. But once completed she will be a spectacular boat again
