VADER is a well equipped racer/cruiser that makes for a competitive, yet comfortable platform to sail and enjoy. VADER holds an impressive race record as a class performer, and is perfect for the racing enthusiast whom wants to also enjoy cruising.
Rently pulled from racing duties at Hillarys Yacht club in 2023 for the sole purpose of leisure/ sail training out of Port Coogee its now looking for its next calling be it back on the course or out around the islands.
The Jomac 9 is of modern design, and has been beautifully constructed and well maintained. The hull is of stiff construction with WRC core and S-Glass laminate. The structure supports a lead fin-keel with tapered bulb offerering adequate stability with only a max draft of 1.960 m. The rudder is a balanced blade of composite construction, with stainless-steel shaft led to a tiller and extension well positioned within the cockpit. A triple spreader fractional sloop rig with swept-back shrouds is fitted in a keel stepped configuration. The topsides are painted with a urethane paint system which is in overall satisfactory condition, slightly faded with some cosmetic chips and scratches. Anti-fouled surfaces remains quite smooth with minimal imperfections and no notible blistering or delamination. Last antifoul March 2023. Continued inspection and planned maintenance will see this vessel offer many more seasons of pleasure and exhilaration.
Aluminium Spars: Mast, Boom and Spinnaker Poles, with standing rigging last replaced in 2020.

VADER has an above average provision of accommodations, exceeding the typical minimalistic settings of other racer/cruisers availible. Comfortable saloon and galley layout, with 6' headroom, cooking, cooler and cleaning provisions. A 'Maxie' 2-burner stainless-steel methylated spirit stove and 50L ice box is fitted in the galley. No LPG gas system is fitted aboard this vessel. Sleeping accommodations include a V Berth, Saloon bunks/ double and a 2x quarter berths aft. An abundance of storage is offered throughout, effectively utilising seat bases and backs as storage lockers with secured covers. Removable companionway stairs offers an abundance of access to machinery for easy inspection and maintenance. The sugar scoop styled transom lends itself to ease of access to and from the water. Lazy jacks/ Boom bag currently fitted and removable boom tent/ awning included.

Machinery includes a 10hp Yanmar diesel engine (1GM10C) driving a 'Yanmar' Saildrive unit (SD20) with a folding bronze propeller. Some corrosion on engine and its parts. Rubber hull seal remains in good condition with no significant electrolysis damage was sighted to the Saildrive leg. Collar anode replaced 2022. Diesel fuel tank is constructed of welded alloy plate, 30L.
1x ELV (Rule 800) bilge pump with float switch fitted. 1x manual bilge pump is fitted with wandering hose. Freshwater system fitted, 80L bladder servicing manual water pump at galley. Jabsco' manual flush Head/ toilet. No holding capacity, overboard discharge only. Hull skin fittings for the plumbing systems are PVC above and below the waterline. Metallic valve body for exhaust overboard.
4x Cast-alloy mooring cleats are positioned at vessel quarters, 2x fore, 2x aft. 2x 8kg Danforth anchors with suitable 8mm short-link chain and 12mm nylon rode.
The 12V system is charged by the main engine alternator and a solar panel. 2x Delkor Battery storage (720CCA/110AH). Lighting provisions throughout accommodations.
VADER presents an outstanding opportunity to both race competitively around the cans and coastal cruise at a reasonable price. With an abundance of inclusions, this package is priced to sell, all reasonable offers are considered.
