NOW REDUCED - This 54 ft John Pugh Windstar cutter is a serious blue water passage maker, designed and professionally built in Western Australia in 1992-3 to withstand the most callenging of conditions while providing comfortable living at sea. She is of fully welded, chined 5mm steel plate hull construction with a long keel of 6mm steel plate. Welds were professionally done in short runs so she has a very fair hull. Safety rails are of stainless steel tube with fully welded continuous top rail so you'll always feel secure on deck.
She is powered by a 150HP John Deere diesel engine installed new in 2020, less than 250 hours run since new, plus a Mase diesel generator of similar age. An Airwind Generator, ample Solar panels, two engine driven alternators, fuel capacity of up to 5000 litres combined with 750 Litre water capacity and a custom rainwater capture system ensures you'll always have the power you need for long range, self-sufficient cruising, wherever you choose to go. A powerful bow thruster assists manouvering when docking.
The yacht features a masthead cutter rig with a fully battened dacron mainsail, furling genoa and furling staysail plus oversized winches for simplicity and easy handling under sail.
The helm, electronics, engine and bow thruster controls are situated in a pilot house with all-around visibility. The pilot house will keep you dry or out of the sun with clear side and rear screens removable for access and ventilation. There is plenty of seating and a table for alfresco dining or sundowner drinks with family and friends in the well protected pilot house
Her comprehensive suite of electronics includes Raymarine C120 GPS and Plotter with AIS, Autohelm performance instruments, GME VHF and Icom HF radios, Radar and a powerful Raymarine Autopilot. There is a full sized chart table to starboard with lots of storage and a spacious workshop and storage area adjacent to the roomy engine room.
The L-shaped galley is situated to port and in the walkway to the owners aft cabin. It features a Force 10 3-burner gas stove and oven, a Panasonic microwave oven, a front opening fridge plus a Waeco freezer. The stainless steel sink and bench has fresh and salt water provided. Storage in the galley area and throughout this yacht is vast, allowing for extended times at sea.
Accomodation is generous with spacious and comfortable forward and aft double berth cabins, each with lots of storage plus settee berths for additional guests and crew in the main saloon. There two fully enclosed marine toilets with hot and cold showers plus a shower at the rear deck. TV and stereo provide enteratinment on board. There is excellent headroom throughout this vessel.
The safety gear includes an EPIRB, a 6 person life raft and an inflatable tender in stern mounted davits. Access to dinghy or dock level is easy with in-built steps to a near water level stern platform.
There is so much more to see on this outstanding Australian Registered offshore yacht and serious cruisers with blue-water ambitions are encouraged to inspect.
