"Madhannah", is a comprehensively equipped, John Pugh 44' steel sloop with plenty of ocean miles under her keel.
John Pugh's are famous for their functional layouts and outstanding sea-keeping qualities. "Madhannah" is no exception and is set up for short-handed cruising with an easily managed rig. The staysail is on a furler as is the headsail and the main is managed with lazy jacks. She is ideal for southern water cruising with a good size cockpit, hig free-board and plenty of beam.
Stepping below, the interior has a spacious feel with ample natural light and excellent visibility. The fit out is very tasteful and has a "homely" feel about it.
The comfortable saloon-to-port features ample seating on the neatly upholstered settee around a large timber dining table. The galley (to starboard) is equipped with Tasmanian oak bench-top, a SS sink (with mixer), a Techna "Nelson" oven and hot plates, a large fridge / freezer and ample storage.
There are two tunnel bunks aft (port and starboard) with the starboard once currently being used to house an engel fridge / freezer on tracks but can easily be converted back if required.
There are two large double berths on the Port side and forward plus another single berth on the port side as well as a spacious toilet and a washing machine.
On deck, solid stainless steel guard rails add to the feeling of security. She has a good size cockpit overall. The 53hp Isuzu diesel (engine hours approx. 1900) powers the vessel through the chop at around 7.5 knots. The 700 litre fuel tankage gives a cruising range over about 650 + nm.
The current owners have lived aboard for a couple of years but are looking to move back to dry land.
"Madhanna" is the vessel for you to realize those dreams and aspirations of cruising our wonderful coastline or perhaps the great oceans of the world in safety and comfort or alternatively as a spacious and comfortable "liveaboard".
