John Pugh 42 Pilot-house Cutter "Golden Haze"

"Golden Haze", is a well-found, blue-water cruiser with thousands of ocean miles under her keel. She is a comprehensively equipped, John Pugh 42 (50' LOA) steel cutter. The current owner is a maritime professional (www. Bourkeysblog. Net) and maintains the vessel in sea-going condition.
John Pugh vessels are famous for their functional layouts and their outstanding sea-keeping qualities. "Golden Haze" is set up for short-handed cruising with an easily managed cutter rig. The staysail is on a jib-boom and the flying jib is on a furler. The main is managed with lazy jacks. She is ideal for southern water cruising with a pilot-house, spray hood, and cockpit bimini with side curtains.
Stepping below, the interior has a spacious feel with ample natural light and excellent visibility. This paired with the quality timber fit-out (Huon Pine and Blackwood) creates a warm and welcoming ambience. The comfortable saloon-to-port features ample seating on the neatly upholstered settee around a large folding leaf dining table. The excellent sea galley is equipped with a gas stove/oven, an SS sink and ample storage. The private owner's cabin aft features a large double berth with a single berth to port. Forward there are 2 X single berths and another double.
On deck, solid stainless steel guard rails add to the feeling of security. Aft, the cleverly designed dinghy davits lower when anchored to provide a safe boarding platform.
The 140 hp Nanni diesel (engine hours approx. 300) powers the vessel through the chop at around 7.5 knots (approx. 6LPH). The huge 2000 litre fuel tankage gives a cruising range under motor of over 1300 nm.

"Golden Haze" is the vessel for you to realize those dreams and aspirations of cruising our wonderful coastline or perhaps the great oceans of the world in safety and comfort. This vessel has been maintained without compromise by her current owner and has been subject to many upgrades.

SUMMARY: "GOLDEN HAZE" will SUIT THOSE WANTING TO EMBARK ON A GREAT ADVENTURE... LIVE-A-BOARD and CRUISE THE WORLD.
